Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute work plans to deliver on company’s strategic goals, meet business plan targets and meet and ensure appropriate relations with our local governmental regulators (“Financial Regulatory Department" FRD)
  • Ensure smooth branch functioning with respect to operations, business development, systems and processes;
  • Handle a percentage of active borrowers of branch from time to time;
  • Analyze credit assessment in the branch and beyond as required, and approve or disapprove loan applications, ensuring company standards of quality and in line with branch work plan targets and management directives from time to time;
  • Train, coach, mentor and supervise Loan Officers and clients
  • Checking that Loan Officers conduct accurate surveys and reports as and when requested; and confirming the loan receipt and utilization of borrowers occasionally
  • Have responsibility for effectiveness and efficiency of branch, team development and team morale in the branch particularly in relation to appropriate revenue maximization and expense minimization;
  • Supervise preparation of branch cash flow calculation and cash need submission;
  • Supervise preparation of monthly FRD operational reporting summaries in collaboration with Office Managers and Accountants within the branch;
  • Consult Loan Officers for necessary advice on operations, reports, monitoring and evaluation, training and other related matters to ensure compliance with internal and external controls in the branch;
  • To take such other action ancillary to the foregoing and otherwise commensurate with your title;
Requirement:
  • University graduate, at least one year of Management experience. Able to travel if required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, budgeting, financial, supervision, planning and monitoring skills required
  • Minimum two years working experience preferably in micro-finance, finance, accounting or banking
  • Good customer service with highly respect
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office especially Outlook email

Position Summary

Company Lawyer is responsible for providing leadership, strategic vision, and functional expertise required to prepare the company for the successful and commercial of the company’s most advance standard. The purpose of this position is to monitor full compliance with applicable law, rules and regulations and the company’s policies and
procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities of Company Lawyer

Day-to-Day Management:

  • Setting strategies for day-to-day management ensure effectiveness, efficiency and risk free.
  • Identifying and problem solving on the legal issue raised by Executive Officers and other department Heads.
  • Working with other department Heads and Executive Officers in development of process, procedure, policy, guideline, term and condition, agreement and MoU that those documents reflect the practicality and efficiency of the company’s business and that legal compliance element are fully incorporated.
  • Managing and monitoring ongoing tasks prepared by the subordinators by providing feedback, encouragement and maintaining open communication.
  • Coordinate and facilitate among and between the department Heads.
  • Working effectively and in timely manner when any legal enquiries are arisen by relevant departments and Executive Officers.   
  • Perform other duties as and when required by Executive Officers. 

Staff Management Functions

  • Making sure that the Legal Department is functioning well; it includes staff planning, guideline development, quality and sufficiency of human resource.
  • Making sure that each employee of Legal Department is having job description.
  • Conducting regular one-on-one coaching with all staffs of Legal Department to monitor and manage their performance and to understand their development need.
  • Ensure proper allocation of work and delegation of authority and optimum utilization of staff. Others
  • Keeping understanding and experiencing with SPN’s products and services, policies and procedures, law and
    other relevant rules and regulations of Myanmar.

Qualifications:

  • Company Lawyer should possess the following characteristics:
  • Educational background in law/banking/finance/business management/economic at master degree level.
  • Diploma in Business Law candidates are considerable.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in financial sector.
  • Good understanding of Myanmar Laws and rules and regulations.
  • Good computer skill.
  • Good ability to speak and write English.
  • High motivation and ability to progress tasks without close supervision.

Network Engineer - Manage Enterprise Network!

Position Summary

The network engineer is an integral member of the bank's infrastructure & operations (I & O) team of the IT department. The network engineer contributes to the banking business by designing, building, testing, monitoring, trouble-shooting and securing the bank's mission critical enterprise and branch networks.

  • Main Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, trouble-shoot and secure enterprise wide area network (WAN), connecting branches to data center and disaster recovery center. 
  • Design, implement, test, trouble-shoot and secure branch local area networks (LAN).
  • Assist in setting up the production, disaster recovery, user acceptance testing, training and development environments.
  • Assist in designing, implementing, testing and trouble-shooting clustering/high availability, load-balancing, backups, replication, disaster recovery and business continuity with other IT department staff.
  • Design, plan and implement information security measures together with other IT department staff.
  • Research, evaluate and test new network technologies and topologies.
  • Participate in team and department meetings.
  • Participate in required technical and functional training.
  • Train other IT staff and bank staff as required.
  • Visit and inspect bank branches when required.
  • Perform any other relevant IT task assigned.
  • Report to Infrastructure & Operations Manager, Project Manager and/or CIO.

    JOB PURPOSE

    Based in Regional Offices, but with frequent visits to the branches in respective region, the incumbent serves as the IL Coordinator, reporting to the Deputy IL Manager of DAWN. The incumbent is responsible for assisting to growth and high quality for the Individual Lending Business Unit in assign Region. As such, the incumbent will assist to lead the design, planning and implementation of the Individual Lending Business Unit of Regions and its corresponding Business Plan, and will be accountable for meeting its business targets.

    In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the ILC will complete miscellaneous duties assigned to him/her from time to time by Deputy IL Manager/ IL Manager of DAWN.
    Responsibilities

    1)Management of IL Team in Branches and Regions
    -    Lead and supervise IL Team in Branches in respective Region to have growth and quality of business with specific targets for IL.
    -    Assist to set the targets for IL in Branches, together with DILM.
    -    Monitor and supervise IL Team in Branches to achieve targets of IL activities with quality.
    -    Assist DILM to set organizational performance targets regarding IL.
    -    Assess and monitor to ensure IL products meet demand, stay competitive and are effectively rolled-out in the region.
    -    Maintain a high standard of discipline and teamwork in the IL Team, and take necessary actions to ensure that all staff in the IL Team are performing according - and even over – expectations.
    -    Develop annual plans and budgets for the IL Team in the Region, and supervise to achieve annual targets in him/her Region.
    -    Ensure that a strong corporate culture to promote cooperation with Branches and other Departments, efficiency, service quality, and high ethical standards in the delivery of financial services is implemented.
    -    Lead IL Teams in Region to have disbursement planning and support to achieve to increase outstanding loan portfolio.
    -    Manage staff recruitment for suitable candidate, promoting for qualify internal staff, and transfer in the regions by instructions of DILM.
    -    Accompany loan officers, IL supervisors and credit analyst to directly supervise in the field sales, promotion, evaluation and recovery activities.
    -    Coordinate and collaborate with Regional Manager, Branch Managers and GL teams to get efficient implementation in the Region.
    -    Organize and act as chairperson of credit committees at his/her level and approve loans.
    2) Credit Portfolio Management
    -    Monitor if IL policies, norms and procedures are accurately applied across all levels; provide an adequate level of control to ensure that the entire IL process is working according to procedures for assign Region.
    -    Analyze what factors are affecting IL delinquency rates at the level of the branches and regions and develop recovery strategies by assisting DILM.
    -    Take feedbacks and report to Operation Manager to update IL Manual twice per year, and to perform periodic updates of Orders, based on the requirements of the IL business.
    -    Perform analysis on key performance indicators and write reports for the DILM.
    -    Lead the team to solve the problems in the field level regarding customers.
    3) Training
    -    Assist Training Team to develop IL training modules, and provide training to staff in Region as necessary.
    -    Involve in discussions in workshops, meetings and trainings in the Operations Department.
    -    Coordinate and supervise the training of branch personnel.
    4) Budget ,Planning and Expansion
    -    Assist to DILM for budget, planning and expansion plan for IL activities.
    -    Assist DILM in developing sales strategy in order to increase the number of clients, maximize sales, and keep current clients.
    -    Collaborate with Deputy IL manager and expansion team in researching different Branches in the Region.

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

    •    A Bachelor Degree is required. Degree in economics, finance, banking, mathematics is a plus.
    •    At least 5 years’ working experience in Microfinance and financial sector.
    •    At least 2 years’ experience in managing branches/regions.
    •    Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
    •    Excellent computer and Microsoft Office (word, excel and PowerPoint) skills
    •    Commitment to work as a team member at team.
    •    Ability and willingness to travel when required.
    •    Good communication, coordination, monitoring and planning skills
    •    Ability to communicate in English and local language highly desirable
    •    Excellent budgeting, financial, supervision, planning and monitoring skills required
    •    Must be able to work independently and make decisions
    •    Understanding of geographic area desirable

    JOB PURPOSE

    Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of pre-planning and wrap up activities. Depending on assigned engagement, reports to one or more member(s) of the Internal Audit Manager. Manages and directs daily activities of more junior auditors assigned to assist the Supervising Auditor during an engagement. Applies risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identifies any potential issues.
